They also reminded me of something from my school days. In French we all had a rather old and tatty book, a bit less than A4 size, full of cack cartoon strips.
We would get given homeworks based on them .... sometimes we would have to tell the story in French, but in the lower years he would often pick out 1 picture, and we had to write in French "what might have happened just a few seconds later" or " a few seconds earlier." We could make those as silly/clever/imaginative/ridiculous as we liked, as long as the French was correct.
Like these below, the drawing were pretty crap... well, by today's standards. But those were some of the few French homeworks I enjoyed, because the open-ended nature of the task suited me fine. I'm sure that the teacher enjoyed marking them too ... unlike a "normal" homework, he never knew what would come up !
It also reminded me that I've got a similar, ancient, crappily-illustrated book just like that, but in Spanish. I'm going to find it ( give me a year or two) and bung some on here.
Or, for that matter, just after it ?
And while you're mulling that over, here's Nena Daconte ... " Hey, tu" ....
