Do you get totally pissed off waiting for all the other idiots to make a word?
Do you find all the point-adding a right pain?
Is your dinky rack of letters always tipping over?
Do you find it difficult to remember all those obscure and, frankly, useless words?
If you have said YES to some of those questions, Bananagrams is the word-game for you.
I am going to show you how to play it, and what's more, you can play it in Spanish !
It's flaming Terrific For Your Spanish !
So, in this bit, which I like to call part 1, I'm going to show you the nuts and bolts of how to play it in English .... because I'm going to use videos, and they're in blasted English.
So here we go ... some neat, entertaining videos which will show you how to play Bananagrams ..... yo !
This is a really good starter video, but for some reason it is silent so don't keep clouting the volume button with a hammer or anything. Just watch . OK . Then there's a much shorter one which tells you rather more formally what to do...
You do your own thing in your own time... no waiting.
Your grid of words can be changed around anytime.
No points, no adding up.
You don't really need obscure words ... well, hardly ever.
Speed is the thing!
No rack of letters to tip onto the floor.
No board for the cat (or dog) to knock over.
That second one was a lot more formal and "serious"... but it was only 90 seconds long . One extra thing ... many people think that only taking 1 tile from the bunch is a bit slow.... and I agree .... taking 2 makes the game that little bit zippier ! ....
In Spanish Scrabble 201 I'll show you how to assemble your very own Spanish Bananagrams Set !
But ahora mismo it's music time.... seeing as it's been Vetusta Morla a lot lately, we'll have them doing Copenhague....
El corría, nunca le enseñaron a andar,
se fue tras luces pálidas.
Ella huía de espejismos y horas de más.
Aeropuertos. Unos vienen, otros se van,
igual que Alicia sin ciudad.
El valor para marcharse,
el miedo a llegar.
Llueve en el canal, la corriente enseña
el camino hacia el mar.
Todos duermen ya.
Dejarse llevar suena demasiado bien.
Jugar al azar,
nunca saber dónde puedes terminar...
o empezar.
Un instante mientras los turistas se van.
Un tren de madrugada
consiguió trazar
la frontera entre siempre o jamás.
Llueve en el canal, la corriente enseña
el camino hacia el mar.
Todos duermen ya.
Dejarse llevar suena demasiado bien.
Jugar al azar,
nunca saber dónde puedes terminar...
o empezar.
Ella duerme tras el vendaval.
No se quitó la ropa.
Sueña con despertar
en otro tiempo y en otra ciudad.
Dejarse llevar suena demasiado bien.
Jugar al azar,
nunca saber dónde puedes terminar...
o empezar.
